High Five Tour
After getting to know the birthplace of the city and feeling that you still want to complete your tour, why not visit two more hills? You can add the ruins of Carmo with its imposing elevator in metal structure in neo-Gothic style inaugurated in 1902, and the viewpoint of São Pedro de Alcântara, where you gain a different point of view of the city.
Between the hills of old Lisbon and those of bohemian Lisbon we pass by the Baixa Pombalina, built in 1755, the new commercial area of the city. The most glamorous of the avenues is Liberdade, with a central corridor lined with plane trees and the best haute couture shops and luxury hotels. At the top of this avenue is the statue of the Marquis of Pombal, the visionary who rebuilt Lisbon after the earthquake of 1755 with his gaze over the Tagus River.
Tour Sintra
Less than an hour from Lisbon we find Sintra, an ancient royal sanctuary, where history was made of gardens. In Sintra you will get to know the Pena Palace, the work of King Ferdinand II, a lover of Romanticism and the eccentric Quinta da Regaleira with its unique architecture. In the center of the village, while strolling through the tangle of alleys, you can stop to taste the delicious travesseiros and queijadas. Sintra is known for its microclimate as it is located between the mountains and the sea
