About this tour

After visiting the birthplace of Lisbon and still feel like you want to get more knowledge, why not discover two more hills? You can add the Carmo ruins with its amazing neo-gothic metal elevator, opened in 1902, and São Pedro de Alcantara viewpoint, where you can see Lisbon from the other side

Between Oldtown Hill and Bohemian Hill we pass through Downtown Baixa Pombalina, built after 1755 earthquake to be the new shopping area. The most glamorous is Liberty Avenue, surrounded by plane trees, haute couture stores and luxury hotels. At the top, is the statue of Marques de Pombal, the visionary who rebuilt Lisbon to be a window to the Tagus River
